RADAR Uncovered the Data Gaps Holding Back Customer Analytics

What we did

  • RADAR analyzed 56 tables, 1.25M events, and 40 dashboards and saved queries to identify gaps across the existing data environment.
  • Uncovered missing attribution, limited identity stitching, architecture constraints, and cost and governance gaps.
  • RADAR findings informed the design and delivery of a scalable Databricks environment built for trusted analytics and future AI.

Critical Data Gaps Identified

5 Weeks to an Analytics-Ready Foundation

The Challenge

As this VC Backed Legal Services Company rapidly expanded its user base and product offerings, customer, marketing, and product data became fragmented across multiple systems. The team lacked a reliable view of the customer journey and needed to understand what was preventing its existing data environment from supporting trusted analytics.

RADAR Findings

Using RADAR, we scanned 56 tables, 1.25M events, and 40 dashboards and saved queries to identify inefficiencies and patterns of development to optimize. RADAR found:

  • A gold layer built primarily to feed the CRM, rather than support analytics
  • Attribution data on less than 1% of records, making acquisition performance difficult to measure.
  • Only ~10% of visitors could be connected across interactions, limiting visibility into the complete customer journey.
  • Additional cost and governance gaps creating opportunities for optimization

RADAR provided a clear, fact-based picture of what needed to change. We used the findings to prioritize and design a new Databricks data foundation built for analytics, attribution, and future AI use cases.
