The Problem

Recruiters at CHG Healthcare were relying on outdated reports to find and contact providers, only to waste time on duplicate outreach or incomplete profiles. The data was spread across internal and third-party sources, and the infrastructure behind it couldn’t keep up with daily changes or recruiter demands. Reporting was slow to update, hard to trust, and even harder to maintain — making it difficult for teams to work efficiently or scale effectively.

The Solution & Results

Analytics8 partnered with CHG’s data engineering teams to strengthen their data foundation and give recruiters access to faster, more reliable sourcing insights. We focused on removing inefficiencies, improving data quality, and making their reporting stack more resilient and scalable. We delivered a:

  • Modernized data stack using dbt Cloud and Snowflake, replacing manual, brittle processes with automated, cloud-native workflows. We built custom logic to handle schema drift and failures from third-party vendor feeds, reducing disruption and giving their data team more confidence in their pipelines.
  • Centralized, recruiter-friendly provider sourcing report that integrated five internal and external datasets into a single view of provider qualifications, availability, and contact history. The new report prioritizes the best contact methods, flags recent outreach, and removes duplicates — so recruiters can move quickly without stepping on each other’s toes.
  • Stronger foundation for advanced analytics and future ML initiatives, with enriched data now ready to support candidate-role matching algorithms and other intelligent automation down the line.

Recruiters now have timely, trustworthy data at their fingertips, which means faster placements, better candidate experiences, and fewer missed opportunities. With clean, consolidated data in place, the company is also in a stronger position to support machine learning initiatives that will further accelerate the provider matching process.
