Element Fleet Management (EFM) is a global fleet management solutions company, providing end-to-end fleet services to its customers.

Problem

Element Fleet Management (EFM) vehicles contain devices that track Telematics (or IoT) metrics like location, mileage, speed, acceleration, and engine issues. EFM wanted to enhance its ability to use and analyze this IoT data to get a more holistic view of their fleet to better control costs and increase productivity.

Solution

For each Telematics system, Analytics8 developed an ingestion engine that captures streaming data in AWS, categorizes it, integrates it into a platform, and then visualizes the data in a dashboard. EFM’s customers can use this dashboard to forecast when a vehicle needs service, determine where a vehicle is currently located, find and optimize the best service routes, and track any possible accidents.

In addition, EFM customers have the option to integrate with a variety of new source systems, including Verizon Network Fleet, Telogis, Geotab, and GM OnStar. This allows EFM to market to new customer segments that use different Telematics vendors, opening up opportunities to grow their pipeline.
